Access Academy (AA) is a fully accredited school with school code #1271 under Alberta Education, in the province of Alberta, Canada. The school reports to and is annually inspected by Alberta Education. AA is a Registered Private School under Alberta's School Act and accountable to Alberta Education in delivering the provincial curriculum. All of our teachers are certified by Alberta Education.

Founded in 2005, and formerly known as Access International College, Access Academy is an independent, coeducational private school centrally located in one of the premier communities in the City of Calgary. It is a place of great tradition and innovation. We believe in every student, and help build students' success through individual assessments and tailored university prep-course plans. AA features small class sizes and expert teachers capable of supporting students beyond the high school curriculum.

AA is an official test center of The University of Waterloo. School has established its unique academic tutoring system to prepare students of various needs to participate in national and international contests, as well as for university prep-courses.

We have a vision of going beyond academic excellence. Our goal is to prepare students for the 21st century by equipping them to be seers, designers and creators of the future. We have gained international attention for our efforts to fit in the globalization of education in 21st century. Our students have consistently exceeded provincial standards for excellence on standardized tests. All of our graduates gain acceptance into universities and post secondary institutions of their choices.

We accept Grade 7，8, 9, 10, 11, and 12 local Canadian & International students in September and January (twice a year).

Access Academy is a fully accredited private school under Alberta Education (with School Code #1271). This means that all the courses offered at Access Academy are fully credited and recognized by the government and university/college.

Extremely well! Access Academy has had 100% graduating rates and 100% admission rate into the university or post-secondary program of their choice. Our students have been recruited by top universities in Canada and the United States.

The Fraser Report only analyzes results based on class sizes that have 15 students or more. At Access Academy, we are proud of having average class size of fewer than 15 students so we are not included in the Fraser Report. Nonetheless, we would be pleased to share our Provincial Tests Results with you during a tour.

Access Academy teaches The Alberta Program of Study, commonly called Alberta Curriculum by Alberta Education Ministry.

We want you to have a great tour experience with an administrator there to answer your questions so please email or call the school office to arrange a tour. This will ensure that we will have time for a complete tour and you will have all of your questions answered.

All teachers at Access Academy are Certified Teachers by Alberta Education.

Access Academy values its relationship with our community. For applicants who currently have siblings attending AA and/or if parents are alumni, priority status is given to their applications provided applicants meet all requirements, academic, social and engagement in school life.

We do not have an entrance test. Our focus is upon our methodology, which is progressive and suitable for students with a wide range of academic accomplishment and aptitudes. We focus on potentials and development of well-round citizens. Thus we provide individual assessment with different criteria.

You can apply anytime throughout the year. Applications are processed as they are received and if the grade you have applied for is full, you have the option of a waiting list. To avoid disappointment, please submit your application at least three months before the start date of the new school year.

We believe that timely communication is very important in creating and maintaining a constructive and positive educational relationship. You can speak informally or schedule a more formal meeting with the school at your convenience.
